PGSuper / BridgeLink (WSDOT)
Free, open-source bridge design, analysis, and load-rating software suite developed and maintained by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) -- PGSuper for precast-prestressed concrete girder design (AASHTO LRFD), PGSplice for spliced post-tensioned girders, XBRate for reinforced concrete bent-cap load rating, plus BRIDG Concrete/Steel and BEToolbox utilities, bundled in the BridgeLink suite; used by state DOTs and bridge engineering consultants across the United States.
Solid -- a genuinely free, open-source, actively maintained bridge design and load-rating suite from WSDOT (current v9.0.2, June 2026 release) with AASHTO LRFD support and a programmable Washington Bridge Foundation Library (WBFL) SDK in C++; the only cost is learning the DOT-grade workflow, and there is no cloud API/CLI (RF2), but for a free tool with no vendor lock-in this is the best value proposition in bridge structural software.
